The Isabel Factor- Gayle Friesen
Well, as school is coming a long (well more like homework has been coming along) I’ve hadn’t had the time to pursue my new found hobby--blogging. When I first discovered blogging, I was a bit skeptical at first but gradually I came to understand that blogging was just another way of showing the world what you love and enjoy.
Last year, as I was choosing my courses, I made an oh-so subtle decision to take family studies as one of my electives. Little did I know that my idea of the course was way off. I had imagined family studies to be a course for old soul youngsters like me who, could sit still for long periods of time just chatting and knitting away. Anyhow, family studies turned out to be filled with lots of note-taking and fun filled written tests. (did anyone else catch on to the sarcasm there?). One of our projects was an ISP on a book about “teenager problems”
Now, I chose this book mainly because I loved the cover with the pretty daffodil on it. However if it had had an ugly brown pooey cover (believe me I’ve seen books with covers worst than that) then I would have chosen this book for it’s interesting and unique title—the Isabel Factor. I was surprised by this book. Written by Gayle Friesen, it has a pleasant mood to it and is told trough the perspective of Anna, our main character. I gotta say, I love Gayle’s writing style.

Time to be short and sweet to the point. The book was just not my cup of tea. It was unique, but the plot and emotion put into it was just so empty and bland.

I've read far better books that have created better lasting impressions.
